Description
The Banff International Research Station will host the “New Synergies in Partial Differential Equations” workshop in Banff from October 19 - 24, 2025.
This workshop aims to facilitate the convergence of experts in diverse areas of PDEs and Mathematical Physics, including those from underrepresented communities in the Americas and female researchers. Our primary objective is to foster discussions, idea exchanges, and collaborations.
The main focus will be to keep up to date with the {\bf current developments} in the field through dynamic interactions and the sharing of insights. We expect that this will not only contribute to advancing the existing theory but will also lead to fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to address a wide array of challenging problems, such as singularity formation, blow-up phenomena, asymptotic and stability properties of solutions, inverse problems, geometric flows, nonlinear PDEs, topological solitons, vortices and periodic solutions in fluids, and fractional models.
The Banff International Research Station for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery (BIRS) is a collaborative Canada-US-Mexico venture that provides an environment for creative interaction as well as the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and methods within the Mathematical Sciences, with related disciplines and with industry. The research station is located at The Banff Centre in Alberta and is supported by Canada’s Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), and Alberta’s Advanced Education and Technology.
