Description
The Banff International Research Station will host the "Locally Conformal Symplectic Manifolds: Interactions and Applications" workshop in Banff from November 7 to November 12, 2021.
Our workshop aims at bringing together established and young mathematicians working in complex analytic, differential and symplectic geometry, as well as in geometric PDE's, in an attempt to produce a road-map for future research in the domain of LCS manifold. By focussing during a single week on the topological, differential geometric and complex analytic aspects of the theory of locally symplectic manifolds, we hope to provide the necessary synergy for a substantial future progress in the field. A problem session will be organized at the end of the workshop.
The Banff International Research Station for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery (BIRS) is a collaborative Canada-US-Mexico venture that provides an environment for creative interaction as well as the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and methods within the Mathematical Sciences, with related disciplines and with industry. The research station is located at The Banff Centre in Alberta and is supported by Canada's Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), Alberta's Advanced Education and Technology, and Mexico's Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT).
