Participant Testimonials

Apr 28 - May 03, 2019

This was certainly one of my favourite workshops. The size of the workshop and the excellent professional working environment and support made it possible, as participants, to get to know each other, have intense scientific discussions and get inspiration for new ideas.

I thought this recent workshop at CMO was among the better ones I have been to in recent years. I found the discussions about contentious issues to be constructive and informative, and I came away with several new things to think about. It was also very well organized, both scientifically and logistically. It was the kind of meeting with which your institutions should be proud to be associated.

The workshop has been very nice and fruitful. I particularly enjoyed the relaxed schedule which allowed for a lot of time for informal discussions. The invited speakers were also world leaders in their field of research and the venue is fantastic.

My participation did impact my research, I learned a lot from the talks and from the discussions with other people. It was very good to have a relaxed schedule of talks with plenty of time to discuss. I also met new poeple and it seems possible to start a new collaboration from the workshop.

The environment of CMO was wonderful and I could have enjoyed physics discussions in the relaxed atmosphere.

By fostering discussions with my colleagues, the workshop opened new collaboration prospects and helped me to get to better know my scientific community.

I am very satisfied with the workshop and I received very positive comments from several of the participants (junior and senior), also reflected in the testimonials. The logistic was excellent, which meant we did not have to worry about anything and could focus on the science. I was also very satisfied with the balance on junior/senior and diversity of the participants. The workshop did impact my current research. Not only I learned from the excellent talks, but I also got new insights and ideas on various aspects of my research from them as well as from the discussions during the "discussion time". The workshop also helped me start new potential research projects on some of the topics discussed during the workshop. Some of these would not have been possible otherwise, but being at the same place with people with similar and complementary interests made this possible.
